Programs

Our Programs

The Knights of Columbus and Ladies Auxiliary of the Fr. Maurice J. Wolfe Council are men and women who lead, serve, protect, and defend our Church and local community, whether we are maintaining our parish grounds and facilities, providing ministry support, giving out Coats for Kids, supporting the Harford Academy (formerly John Archer School) by funding learning tools for disabled students, supporting local pregnancy centers and homeless shelters by donating much needed items or providing financial hardship relief to those in the most need among our members. Find out more about our work and what we do for the community by getting involved with our programs. The following are our council's program focus areas: Faith, Community, Family, Life, Youth, Bingo and any seasonal events that fall outside of these areas. If you need to contact the current program director you may send an email to info@kofc11372.org.

Faith Activities

Our church programs tie us together with the parishioners and clergy. Through these programs we aim to draw closer to God and to each other.

Community Activities

Our community activities allow us to reach out to members of the community; many of whom we have never met. These activities are our outward reach to the community outside of our parish.

  • Coats for Kids
  • Breakfast with Santa
  • Breakfast for the Homeless
  • Box Hill South Parkway Roadside Clean Up
  • Pancake Breakfast
  • Harford Academy (formerly John Archer School) May Day

Family Activities

We take a lot of time away from our families in order to work on these other charitable causes. Our family activities help us take the time to give back to those we love and keep our family as strong as ever.

  • Family Prayer Night
  • Ironbirds/Orioles Game
  • Spaghetti Dinner
  • Food for Families
  • Keep Christ in Christmas (Poster Contest Registration Form & Information Sheet English / Spanish)

Life

As a practical Catholic organization, we believe in the sanctity of life starting at conception. These activities allow us to reach out to others who are like minded but may not have the support or resources to follow their beliefs.

  • The Silver Rose of Our Lady of Guadalupe
  • Painting of Birthright's Porch
  • Day of the Unborn Child
  • Respect Life Month
  • Eucharistic Vigil
  • Pro Life Baby Shower

Youth Activities

To borrow the words of songwriter Whitney Houston, "I believe the children are our future, teach them well and let them lead the way." These activities provide a safe and informative venue for children to learn and grow.

  • Kids Bingo
  • Jerry Meany Fishing Tournament
  • Children's Christmas Party
  • Trunk or Treat
  • Ice World
  • Rolling in the Dough
  • Substance Abuse Program

Council Fraternal Activities

Our council activities give us a chance to relax and celebrate together as brothers and sisters. These events are typically more relaxed as we focus on taking a step back from our charitable activities and taking a break.

  • Leo Bernt Horseshoe Tournament
  • Officer Installation Banquet
  • Spring Ball
  • Lantern Queen Boat Cruise
  • St. Patrick's Day Social

Preakness

One of our main fundraisers involves running a food and beer stand at Pimlico racetrack during the annual Preakness Race. During the sweltering hot days, we get through our paces and make sure we have as much fun as our customers have. By the way - free food and drink for working the stand. We look forward to seeing you at the next event!

Bingo!

Our biggest money maker is bingo held on the 2nd Fridays of the month in Kilduff Hall. If you're free to help, we're always looking for extra runners, callers and help in the kitchen. You don't need to volunteer for the duration of the event, volunteer the time you can. If you're just interested in playing, then by all means come on by and have a great time. Our hall sees around 100 people on average and peaks around 200 for special events. Register to help at the following URL: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/8050849AFA829AAF49-bingo

Ladies Auxiliary

The Ladies Auxiliary is the sister branch of the Father Maurice J. Wolfe council. We aid each other in all of our endeavors and work together to give each others events that little bit of extra pizzazz.
